Schau e stellen sono il dittico che compone Umlaut, due performance che riflettono sul gesto del mostrare e sul potere della scena. In schau, l'inchino diventa un gesto sospeso tra accoglienza, commiato e resa; in stellen, corpo, linguaggio e spazio scenico si frammentano fino a trasformare il palco stesso nel centro dell'azione. Attraverso la ripetizione, Umlautesplora il teatro come luogo di relazione, tensione e trasformazione della realtà. Vincent Giampino è coreografo e performer basato a Roma. La sua ricerca ruota attorno al corpo e al gesto considerati come materia politica, estetica e simbolica. Formatosi in Italia, Germania e Olanda, consegue il B.A. in coreografia alla SNDO di Amsterdam. Nel 2017 è finalista con Oneka Von Schrader al Prix Jardin d'Europe a Impulstanz. \------- Schau and stellen are the two works that make up the diptych Umlaut, two performances exploring the act of showing and the power of theatrical space. In schau, the bow unfolds between greeting, farewell and surrender; in stellen, body, language and stage gradually fragme nt until the theatre itself becomes the central subject. Through repetition, Umlaut reveals performance as a space where reality can be reshaped through relationships and power. Vincent Giampino is a Rome-based choreographer and performer. His research revolves around the body and gesture, considered as political, aesthetic, and symbolic matter. Trained in Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands, he obtained his B.A. in Choreography from the SNDO in Amsterdam.
