Luce 2026: Marta Zapparoli

Active since 2003, Marta Zapparoli is an Italian radio and sound artist, independent researcher, and performer based in Berlin. Her research focused on the invisible electromagnetic spectrum explores connections between natural phenomena, technologies, and non-human forms of communication through antennas, including self-built ones, receivers, sensors, analog devices, and self-made recordings. Her works evolve into performances, site-specific interventions, and compositions that investigate links between body, listening, technology, environment, and cosmos. She has presented her work in museums, galleries, and cultural institutions, as well as at conferences such as the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology (WFAE).
