GIARDINO NASCOSTO presents BABAU + NUKE WATCH + SAGOME July opens its mouth and this is what comes out: Artetetra joins forces with Local Service for the first time, and something deeply suspicious has started growing in the garden. Matteo Pennesi and Luigi Monteanni play as BABAU since long time, first time in Milano was during a Moondawn party in Macao, they’ll now bring a new live set of granular neo-exotica, weird manipulations and something your brain will file under “wtf was that” for weeks. Aaron Anderson and Chris Hontos operate somewhere inside the radioactive fog that shapes into NUKE WATCH. Their music drifts through nuclear-age visions, millenarist stoner dread, mutant groove mechanics and collective hallucinations, constantly mutating between free improvisation and impossible song forms. Also known as Beat Detectives and fresh from a split release on Artetetra as Weird Shit U.S.A., they arrive in Milan as a shape-shifting trio together with Zach Stafford channeling winds, circuits, rhythms and unexplained transmissions into a single ecstatic overload. SAGOME: London-based experimental music collective run by Silvia Malnati and Andrea Campisi. They move across scenes, geographies and disciplines, leaving strange traces behind.
